Valentina Shevchenko Won’t Wait For Jessica Eye, Wants to Fight Again ASAP

Valentina Shevchenko wants to fight as soon as she can, and isn’t willing to wait for Jessica Eye. Shevchenko’s manager Roger Allen spoke with MMAjunkie and said that his client is able to fight in a matter of weeks. Allen said that Shevchenko isn’t willing to wait for the June 8th date that Eye is seeking, which would be UFC 238.

Allen told the outlet that the UFC tried to book a fight between Shevchenko and Eye for the former’s women’s flyweight champion at UFC on ESPN+3 next week, but that Eye couldn’t due to an issue with her teeth. It isn’t known if Eye will be available before the June date that she suggested.

Shevchenko won the fdlyweight title at UFC 231, which is also when Eye put herself in a spot to challenge the champion.
