Francesca Ruscio Campaigning to Play Huntress in Birds of Prey

Actress Francesca Ruscio is campaigning to play Huntress in DC Films’ Birds of Prey movie. Ruscio, who has had minor appearances in 2018’s Succession and Made in Chinatown, posted to Twitter to campaign for the role of Helena Bertinelli in the Cathy Yan-directed film. You can see her posts below.

While there’s no indication that Ruscio has been cast in the role or is a contender, Margot Robbie — who is producing the film as well as reprising her role as Harley Quinn — did like the tweet. Another person who liked it was acclaimed comics writer Gail Simone, who wrote the Birds of Prey comic from 2003 to 2007 and added Huntress to the team. The film is expected to begin production in January.
