Welcome to THE BEST DAMN TNA RECAP Ver. 1, of the 7-14-04 show for 411wrestling.com. I am your party host Larry Csonka!

I’ll get to the plugs on Friday, but never fear, the ZONKA STRATOR IS HERE!

Remember I recap on the fly and do my best to catch as much as humanly possible. I don’t do star ratings, not my thing. I have a good time, and yes I really enjoy TNA as well as the WWE and mostly all wrestling. So sit back and relax and enjoy The Best Damn TNA Recap Ver. 1!

The Naturals say they have never stolen a thing in their life, so be like them and don’t steal cable. (That was funny, because they stood there in AMW’s gear.)

Opening video package with highlights from last week runs.

Big Vito lays the verbal smack down on Swinger and Gilbertti. Gilbertti blames it on Young, and Young comes in to defend himself. Vito tells him to piss off, or he will make him disappear. Vito says he and Trinity will continue to take care of business, and Gilbertti and Swinger better do the same or else!

Tenay and West welcome us to the Asylum in Nashville!

Good opening match here. The crowd was into it, and reacted perfectly/ This is a nice angle here, as the fans are buying into it, and are really wondering if he will be able to compete later tonight.

Backstage, Big Vito is beating down Irish Pat Kenny. Vito is kicking his ass, and beating him with anything he can find.

D Lo says Tenay is a grandfather, and should know how he feels. D Lo hates leaving home, because all he thinks about is his kiddo. (That was very odd)

David Young is in the ring, and yelling at Mike Posey again. Swinger and Gilbertti are out in their humiliation gear, and toss Posey to the floor. Posey gets a broom and proceeds to kick their ass! Finally the 3 on 1 takes over and they beat him down until D Ray and Shark hit the ring to save him.

Running Enziguri to Abyss by Dutt, but Abyss has Dutt up…CHAIR SHOT BY SABU! Abyss had the chair again, and Dutt gets a missile drop kick to his face and then gets the Hindu press for 2. Abyss to the floor, Sabu with the triple jump to the floor, and MISSES Abyss and eats the railing. Meanwhile, Shelley gets a fisherman’s buster to finish off Dutt @ 8:17.

After the match, Sabu is going insane with a chair. Sabu sets up a table and lays Abyss on it, goes up top and the lights to black! A recording plays, “The Sheik is dead, long live Raven.” There is a dummy dressed as the Sheik, and Abyss gets the “Shock Treatment” (Torture Rack bomb.) Abyss further destroys Sabu and power bombs him through the table.

Match was just there. The crowd was not into it at all, until the lights dropped. Even then, they were very disappointed Raven was not there.

Scott Hudson with Dusty Rhodes. Dusty says Russo needs the legends to help him. TNA has captivated the country. Dusty says guitars have been flying around TNA like airplanes. Tonight, Hudson wants to know about Jeff Hardy. Dusty says Jeff will be at the PPV next week, live and in person. He has accepted Dusty’s invitation, but he doesn’t know is he will sign or not. Dusty won’t tell Hudson what’s in the envelope.

Red flies into the ring on Rude with the flying flatliner. Red up top…and D’Amore shoved Red off. Rude powerbombs Red and covers as XXX gets their power bomb/neckbreaker combo to Devine, the ref sees it and that gets them the win @ 9:00. (That looked nasty, as Elix was a bit delayed on the move.)

Very fun match. They were clicking, and it was non-stop action. The end was good, because D’Amore can play up the held down Canadian angle more.

Scott Hudson with JJ. He says Shamrock will be a team player tonight. He will go after Dusty for being so nice to Hardy. He tells Hardy to remember that he ran out Hogan and took everyone else out. Monty Brown is here! He says no one is listening to JJ. Brown says he is the Alpha Male, and JJ doesn’t have to worry about Hogan, Sting or Hardy…just The Alpha Male. Shamrock harasses Tenay and threatens him. JJ’s new shirt kicks ass, but I miss the tux…Konnan goes retro for us with his mic work…god help us. Larry still wears the old ring gear, and thankfully Dusty is in jeans.

Here we go, with everyone brawling to start on the floor. In the ring, James and Onyx go at it, and James hits the shaky leg knee drop. He tries to get the Guitar, as Dusty and JJ fight on the floor. Killings and Shamrock fight through the crowd as Konnan is in the ring now. JJ in the ring, but Konnan gets rolling thunder. Shamrock and Killings fight near the announce table, JJ waffles James with a chair, as this is everywhere already. Dusty and JJ go at it again, I think Larry is on a coffee break. Hernandez tries to get the guitar, but Killings suplexes him to the mat. Killings got thrown to the floor. Larry is in the ring! He is all over JJ! Killings gets the nizzie leg drop to JJ, and Larry tries for the guitar. Collyer shoves him down, and we have all spilled into the ring. Killings and Shamrock back on the floor, as are Dusty and JJ. Low blow by JJ, then waffles Dusty with a chair. JJ back to the ring now, and chair shots for everyone not with him. Onxy flies to the floor onto Konnan, and Dusty is back to the ring. BIONIC ELBOWS! That’s right Dusty, just stand there, they’ll run to you. Larry is all over the guard members, and Dusty climbs for the guitar. They are literally trying to boost him up! HAHA! ANKLE LOCK ON DUSTY! JJ up, and gets the guitar! Dusty with a low blow, he gets the guitar…EL KABONG TO ONYX! That is all @ 8:00.

JJ and Monty Brown have a stand off on the apron.

What a cluster f*ck. At least the crowd seemed to like it.

Scott Hudson with Michael Shane. He thinks AJ is faking it. Shane says AJ is faking because Shane was out-classing him. Shane says AJ was too busy flipping around to wrestle, not circ de sole’! He says now Lynn wants to get involved, and they may respect their elders, but Lynn will get what he has coming to him if he interferes.

Match #5 Kazarian vs. AJ Styles (Same rules as match #1.)

Kazarian says he was contracted to wrestle AJ, not some geriatric. Kazarian says is AJ is hurt, then he has to quit. AJ is out! He is taped up.

AJ gets a suplex/neck breaker combo for 2. Traci and Shane are down now. German by AJ, then a face buster. Traci distracts the ref, Shane in SUPER KICK! Kazarian covers and AJ KICKS OUT! AJ set on the top by Kazarian…shoves off Kazarian, flips over Kazarian and gets the discuss clothesline for 2. AJ tries the Styles Clash, Traci in, and he gives it to her! Messed up roll up, but the ref is distracted. Shane comes in and clips the knee and Kazarian rolls up AJ for the pin @ 9:40.

Mostly a really good match. AJ did some nice wrestling, and played the injury well. This sets up AJ having to defend against both eventually.

Scott Hudson with Kenny. He says he knows Vito is a dirty Italian. Kenney says the war has been going on for years, and Kenny LOVES to fight. Kenny will be at the bar getting prepared, but he wants Vito in ANYKIND of a match. He uses like 800 ethnic slurs before Vito jumps him.

Tenay and West shill the website and Impact. Jeff Hammond will have an interview with JJ. Tenay will talk with Kid Kash next week, as well as David Young and the NYC vs. Ref Mike Posey, Sharky and D Ray. XXX vs. Abismo Negro and Mr. Agulia. Sabu vs. Abyss in a NO DQ match. Jeff Hardy will be there as well.

Highlights of the Jeff Hardy situation.

Scott Hudson with AMW. AMW is going to take them dead serious. AMW is about getting their pride back, and a shot at their belts. He says The Naturals know nothing about defending the titles. Storm says they are the big dogs here, and they will prove it and become 5-time world tag team champions. XXX is out. They say they need a rematch, and to prove whom the best ever is. Elix tells Storm XXX is 4-1 vs. AMW.

Highlights of the feud between The Naturals and AMW.

Let’s take time out here for the ZONKA-STRATOR of the day!

Yes it is back, and this week we will explain the double-ladder match between The Naturals and AMW. As you can see, the ring gear of AMW is suspended above the ring. They will be able to use one of 2 ladders to get their property back. If they do, they will get a rematch for the tag team titles. This has been the ZONKA-STRATOR of the day.

Match #6 The Naturals (Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas) vs. America’s Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris)

They all brawl to start. AMW takes down the Naturals and go for the ladders. Storm tries to bring in the ladder, and Douglas slams the ladder into his face. Stevens takes down Harris, and Stevens is in the ring and trying to get the gear. Storm is back up, chases Stevens up the ladder, and Douglas is in as well, and they gets a German suplex/power bomb combo! Harris is in, and he grabs a ladder. Harris sets it up in a corner, and sends Douglas into the ladder 2 times, then MISSES Douglas and eats ladder himself. Harris is able to back drop Douglas to the floor, but the ladder was ser up between the ring and railing, and Douglas landed right on it! XXX is looking on, as Storm and Stevens fight on the floor. Storm now goes and gets a table. He sets it up, and tries a power bomb on Stevens. Stevens counters and Storm is down. The Elite Guard watches on now, as Stevens rams the ladder into Harris’s gut. Storm climbs up top…and Stevens THROWS HIM THROUGH THE TABLE ON THE FLOOR! Harris goes and checks on Storm, and Storm looks to be out. Harris back in the ring, Full nelson slam to Stevens, he gets the ladder now and rams it on Stevens repeatedly. Douglas tries to get back in, and Harris nails him with the ladder. Storm is trying to move on the floor and Harris has Stevens and suplexes him down. Douglas moved the ladder so Stevens wouldn’t land on it, then nails Harris with a chair. Douglas wails away with the chair on Harris, then put Harris in the ladder. Stevens up top…MOONSAULT on the ladder! Storm tries to get in the ring, but Douglas takes him out then falls to the floor. All 4 men are down, Stevens and Harris back up in the ring, and Stevens tries to climb. Harris punches away, and slams him off. Douglas has the powder, and BLINDS Harris as he was climbing! Douglas climbs, but Harris has his leg, but Douglas kicks him away and goes back to the mat. He sets Harris on the top rope, but Storm is up and super kicks Douglas! Stevens is up, and climbs…Storm climbs and they fight on the ladder. SUN SET FLIP POWER BOMB TO STEVENS! Douglas back up, and kicks away at Storm. Douglas gets a chair, and climbs the ladder. He nails Storm with the ladder. Douglas jumps for the contract but Harris gets a SPEAR IN MID AIR! Stevens and Storm climb now…Storm knocks him off and gets the contract and gear @ 13:22.

AMW gets a title match next week, with the gimmick of their choosing. Harris has the mic, as the climb the ladder. They say people thought they were done, but once again they proved everyone wrong. Last year, they made history in TNA’s 1st cage match. Next week, they will do it again…IN A STEEL CAGE MATCH IN THE 6-SIDED RING!

Fun match, not the best ladder match you will ever see, but they busted their asses, and next week we get a steel cage match in the 6-sided ring.

A lot of good wrestling this week, and a strong build for the future here. The show has signs of getting back to where it was and next week will be a big week.

Don’t forget about Flea’s TNA breakdown tomorrow, and remember to check out IMPACT this Friday, where I will be back with the Best Damn TNA Recap Ver. 2!

Thanks for reading, until next time I am Larry Csonka and you know you want to be a Zonkamaniac~!
