411’s TNA Global Impact Report 6.12.06

June 12, 2006 | Posted by Dan Zurbruegg

  • We begin with a promo for the King of the Mountain match at Slammiversary.
  • Jeremy Borash, alongside Christy Hemme, welcomes us to the 6th week of Global Impact. They bring up the fact that Impact will air an hour later on Thursday, and hype up the show. They talk about Sabin/Nash at Slammiversary, as well as Kevin Nash’s debut in the X-Division this Thursday on Impact. They end by finishing their hype for Sunday, including telling us about Scott Steiner versus Samoa Joe on the card.
  • A Promo for the Samoa Joe DVD is aired.
  • Footage of Kevin Nash and Alex Shelley strategizing for Nash’s match against Sabin is shown. Nash has three keys to victory plotted on a chalkboard: “Game Plan Sabin”, “Warm-up Match With Sabin Type Star”, and “Scout Sabin”. Nash tells Shelley to go and find a wrestler who is a clone of Sabin, in terms of wrestling ability, and whom Nash can face on Impact.
  • Elix Skipper w/Simon Diamond vs. Ron Killings
Killings attacks with some punches to start, and whips Skipper into ropes and hits a powerslam. Killings hits a hip toss and then throws a charging Skipper to the mat. Killings slaps Elix, but Skipper ends up whipping him into the ropes. Killings, however, holds himself to the ropes and flips Skipper over to the outside. A small “TNA” chant starts up, and Killings plays to the crowd as Skipper on the outside. Skipper climbs onto the apron and flips into the ring, but Killings is able to kick him in the gut. Killings dances, but this time Skipper kicks him in the gut and then connects with a flying forearm. Skipper stomps away, and hits a snapmare and a kick to the back combination for a two count. Skipper continues to stomp away and delievers a right hand. Elix picks Killings up, sets him in the corner, and gives him a slap. Skipper keeps on stomping away as we go to a quick break.

A promo for Slammiversary is aired.

We return as the two are outside the ring. Killings fights back, but Skipper knocks him back to the ground. Skipper rolls him into the ring for a two count. Elix picks him up and throws him gut first onto the ropes. Skipper climbs upon the top rope in between two turnbuckles and hits a leg drop for two. Skipper charges, ducks a clothesline, and flips off ropes, but Killings counters with an inverted DDT. Killings ducks clothesline, connects with a couple of right hands, dances, and hits a big right hand. Skipper counters by whipping Killings into the corner, but Ron moves away from a charging Skipper and hits a spinning heel kick for two. The two get back up and Killings nails a kick o the gut and then a scissors kick for the victory at roughly 5:30.

    Winner: Ron Killings

  • Aired is footage of Samoa Joe and Steiner from Impact. Steiner slaps him in the face on two separate occasions, and the two end up brawling. Exclusive footage of Steiner walking off is shown, with Samoa Joe still in the ring.
  • Borash and Hemmy finish up Global Impact with a quick hype for Slammiversary and Impact. They lastly announce that Global Impact will not only air on TNAWrestling.com, but SpikeTV.com, as well.

Overall: It was short and sweet with a nice little match between Skipper and Killings.
