411’s WWE Smackdown Report 06.08.07

June 8, 2007 | Posted by Brad Borchardt

Welcome everybody to 411’s Smackdown Report with me as always, Brad Borchardt. I ordered One Night Stand and I have my own mixed feelings on it. The ladder match was fun, I like the stretcher match, and I thought the cage match was highly under-rated, but nothing much from the rest of the card. Enough pf the past, here is our usual Smackdown goodness!:

1. The winner of each match will receive two points unless it is by count out or DQ in which they will receive one point.
2. The winner of a title match will receive an additional point for retaining and two additional points for winning a belt.
3. The winner of the main event will get an additional point.
4. The winner of a specialty match will get an additional point.
5. In a tag team match, a wrestler on the winning team that does not pick up the win will get one point. If the match ends in a DQ or a DRAW, both members of the winning team will get one point.
6. If the match ends in a draw, all wresters involved will get half a point for participating.
7. If it is an elimination match, each elimination is worth one point.
8. If the match is for example, a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match or an Iron Man Match, each fall is worth one point.

Show Starts

We kick off the show with the World Heavyweight Champion Edge coming down to the ring without the pyro and we are ready for the Cutting Edge. He says he knows what everybody is thinking, but fear not, just because he is hosting the Cutting Edge, the fans might get to see him wrestle tonight. He says people may doubt he can out due having Batista as his guest, but he feels like he has. His guest tonight is Mr. McMahon! Edge tells Vince it’s a great pleasure having him on the show and he has a question for Vince. How is Vince doing? Vince hesitates and responds by saying he has walked through the valley of death and that kind of nonsense. Edge says he doesn’t want to dwell on the past and talks about how the draft will shake things up and also this Monday is Mr. McMahon appreciation night. Edge says he won’t disrespect Vince like Cena, Flair, and Lashley have. He gives credit to Vince for him wrestling and all the viewers of Smackdown. Edge goes on to say to not worry about One Night Stand because he still has his empire and money. Vince is grasping Edge’s World Heavyweight Championship and tells Edge he is no better than John Cena or Bobby Lashley. He announces that Vengeance is his and announces Edge vs. Batista for Vengeance. Edge says it isn’t fair because he beat Batista twice but Vince says life is not fair, it sucks, and then you die. Regardless of whatever happens during the draft, it will be Edge vs. Batista, do or die, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Vince leaves with Edge staring him down.
