Aaron Roberts worked with Sean Waltman under the WWE ID program, and he recently shared what he learned from the WWE Hall Of Famer. Roberts was part of the program until his release in August. He had the opportunity to sit under Waltman’s learning tree, and he spoke with Roman McPeake for a new interview where he talked about the experience.

Roberts also noted that he pitched Waltman coming out of retirement to face him and named his goal for 2026. You can see highlights below:

On Being Coached By Waltman:

“X-Pac gave me a lot of great advice. We had lots of long conversations. Just in general, obviously I pitched X-Pac to come out of retirement to wrestle me, and he obviously said no. But he just — to pull back the curtain here, X-Pac taught me a lot about what it is to be a big guy wrestling a small guy. That’s something he loves to do, that’s something I love to do. I feel like those are the greatest matches you can have. And he just really opened the book and the storytelling of what that is.”

On His 2026 Goals:

“In 2026, I want to wrestle for either TNA, New Japan, MLW, something along those lines.”
