Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are the new AEW World Tag Team Champions, beating FTR at AEW Double Or Nothing. The opening match of the PPV’s main card saw Cope & Cage defeat their rivals in an I Quit Street Fight to claim the titles.

The wild, weapon-filled match saw the two teams use a number of tactics to make the other side say “I Quit.” The defiance was real, with both sides giving snark-filled rejections on occasion including Cage being asked to saw the words and replying, “I banged your mom.”

Late in the match, Stokely Hathaway got involved and hit Copeland with Cage’s watch while Dax Harwood had him distracted. That brought Beth Copeland down for revenge, and she went after Hathaway. FTR triple teamed Beth and set her up to be put through a flaming table on the outside, but Beth moved at the last minute and pulled Hathaway in Cash Wheeler’s path, sending Wheeler and Hathaway through the table.

That just left Harwood, and he ended up in a double submission from Copeland and Cage. Beth revealed her husband’s nail bat Spike, which was brought into the submission and led to Harwood saying he quit.

You can see clips from the segment below. This marks Copeland and Cage’s first reigns as AEW World Tag Team Champions, ending FTR’s third reign at 184 days. FTR won the titles from Brodido at AEW Full Gear.
