Adam Pearce Will Serve as Acting GM of WWE SmackDown Again This Week

WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce was recently made the acting GM of Friday Night SmackDown when Nick Aldis was put on administrative leave following his incident with Gunther. In a new preview video for SmackDown earlier today (see below), Aldis announced that he will once again serve as the Acting GM of the SmackDown brand this week.

Pearce explained that after what happened with Aldis and Gunther last week, he will once again be in the captain’s chair this week. He stated, “After everything that took place last week on the broadcast, I will once again be in the captain’s chair, your Acting SmackDown General Manager, with a ton to address, and I will do just that.”

During last week’s WWE SmackDown, the show ended with Gunther attacking Aldis and putting him in the Sleeper Hold. Cody Rhodes eventually came out to make the save as the show came to an end.

Tomorrow’s SmackDown is being held at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York. It will air live on the USA Network starting at 8:00 pm ET.
