The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii) and Paragon (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) were unsuccessful in defeating The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia) at AEW WrestleDream Tailgate Brawl.

AEW Tailgate Brawl started with an eight-man tag team match, with Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii of The Conglomeration joining forces with Paragon’s Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong to take on The Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia.

The match started with Garcia and Strong trading chops, with the latter dominating the former TNT Champion. Strong then tagged O’Reilly, and the two men launched an attack on Garcia and Yuta, who tried to come to the aid of his stablemate.

Following this, Orange Cassidy tagged in and teamed up with O’Reilly to launch a double attack on Yuta. Cassidy took down Yuta and Garcia with a Double Hurricarana. Later, Claudio Castagnoli and Tomohiro Ishii tagged in for their respective teams and traded chops. The former nailed a shoulder block to take down Ishii, who eventually responded with a Suplex, only to be taken down with a clothesline.

After getting worked over by The Death Riders, Ishii responded with a Lariat to Yuta and Garcia. The match turned into an all-out brawl. In the closing moments of the match, PAC nailed a German Suplex on Ishii, who repsonded with a leaping lariat. Ishii nearly took off PAC’s head with a lariat. However, a chop block from Yuta and a Running Kbee from PAC to Ishii ensured that The Death Riders came out victorious.
