Alex Windsor Reflects on Her Special Chemistry With Syuri

During a recent interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Alex Windsor spoke about her chemistry in the ring with Syuri. Windsor defeated Syuri earlier this year at EVE 146: Wrestle Queendom VIII, winning the NJPW Strong Women’s Title. Below are some highlights from Fightful:

“Honestly, I think she’s a very special opponent for me in the fact that we had that first match at Eve, and that was the first match that I was really like, ‘I cannot mess this one up,’ and the chemistry we had together was really, really special. Then the next time I saw her was in Japan, my first tour of Stardom. The time after that was about a month after we first wrestled; I made my debut at AEW All In, and she was the first person I shared the ring with. So it’s the type of thing that you can’t write and it just happens.

On Not Knowing Syuri Was Going To Be at AEW All In

“I didn’t know she was going to be there. She might not have known that I was going to be there either. So the fact that she was the first person I got to wrestle in an AEW ring was really cool. Then my first tour of Stardom, she was there, and then we wrestled earlier this year. Obviously I won the belt off her. So I hold a very special place in my heart for Syuri.”

At last Sunday’s AEW All In 2026, Alex Windsor and Brawling Birds tag team partner Jamie Hayter beat Divine Dominion to win the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles.
