Alexis Lete had a run in WWE developmental for about a year, and she recently talked about her time there in a new interview. Lete signed with WWE as a PC recruit in August of 2022 and was released in September of 2023. She recently appeared on That One Time with Adam Metwally and weighed in on the biggest myth in regard to professional wrestling.
“That it’s fake,” Lete said (per Fightful). “It’s a lot more real than you think. Everyone is like, ‘Oh, wrestling is so fake.’ I signed up to be in WWE because I thought it was fake. I didn’t think I was going to get injured. I didn’t think I was actually going to be doing stuff that hurt my body and potentially damage me for the rest of my life.”
She continued, “It’s a lot more real than people think it is and your body is so friggin’ sore. I feel like, for the year and a half I was there, my nervous system was constantly in fight or flight mode because of the bumping and constant wear and tear on my body.”
Lete previously said that she enjoyed her time in WWE but that it was not her, saying, “I’m not hardcore. I wish I was, but I’m not. I’m a fragile little bean.”
