Andrade El Idolo Captures WWC Universal Title In Puerto Rico

Andrade El Idolo returned to the ring for the first time since October, winning the WWC Universal Championship on Saturday night. The WWE alumn competed at the Puerto Rico promotion’s show on Saturday night. As shared to Instagram, he defeated Xavant to win the title.
The win marks Andrade’s first reign with the WWC Universal Championship. It ends Xavant’s third reign at 108 days. He defeated Chicano, Matt Hardy and Carlito to win the title at the company’s 52nd Anniversary show.
The match was Andrade’s first since he competed at The Crash Lucha Libre’s October 4th show. Andrade’s status has been in limbo since he was released in September. He showed up on AEW Dynamite, but WWE sent a cease-and-desist letter announced earlier on Saturday that he would be competing at the WWC show.
