On the latest episode of The ARN Show, Arn Anderson talked about Davey Boy Smith, aka The British Bulldog, being fired from WWE and joining WCW in January 1993. You can check out some highlights below:

On if he thought Davey Boy would be a good fit for WCW: “Yeah, I thought he would match up with some heels good. You know, he was jacked. There was no doubt. And he was on the gas, and you know, he was a good performer too. It didn’t turn him into just a big guy who ambled around. He still worked hard and did some good stuff.”

On Davey Boy never getting a WCW World Title run: “Oh, I don’t know. You know that, I do not know. I don’t know if there were some issues with him getting canned with the other company because of steroids, if they thought if they pushed him too far, that might up. Who knows? I don’t; I don’t know. I didn’t make anything to do with those decisions.”

On Bobby Heenan: “Bobby Heenan was — you know, he’s in the running for the number one manager of all time. I gotta put him with JJ (Dillion).”

Davey Boy Smith returned to WWE (then WWF) later in 1994 after leaving WCW in late 1993.
