Arn Anderson says a feud between the Four Horsemen and the Von Erichs is one that fans never got to see but could have been as good as anything in wrestling history. During the fan Q&A on the latest episode of ARN, Anderson was asked about a fantasy matchup between the Horsemen and the Texas babyfaces, and he also explained how Barry Windham’s heel turn to join the Horsemen was planned and looked back on the Horsemen’s physical battles with Doom. You can check out his comments below:

On the Horsemen Never Facing the Von Erichs:

“They were pretty hard to handle when they were in Texas, don’t you think? I think it would have been a four-star match, top to bottom. Can’t predict the winner in that one, but those guys, you know, three brothers. That’s tough to beat. There’s that bond.”

On Why It Was the One That Got Away:

“The Von Erichs and the Horsemen, when you sit and think about it for a couple minutes, that’s one that really got away without the audience getting to see it. It’s a great one. It could have been as good as anything that ever was. If the story supported it and it was set up, it could have been the one that got away.”

On If Barry Windham’s Heel Turn Was Planned In Advance:

“Well in advance. Number one, you would have to make sure Barry Windham was okay with it, thought it was a good move, was on board with it, and all those things before you ever even advanced to, ‘Okay, we’re going to do that, and where and when.'”

On the Horsemen’s Matches With Doom:

“That was one of the most physical matches I’ve ever not only been in but seen. They beat the evil crap out of us, Ron Simmons and Butch. Talk about two badass men.”
