Arn Anderson Recalls Jim Herd Making Him Take a $150,000 Pay Cut

On the latest episode of ARN, Arn Anderson was asked by a viewer whether he ever wanted to get his hands on his old WCW boss Jim Herd. Herd famously clashed with Ric Flair and other WCW stars of the era. Anderson recalled the pay cut Herd handed him and the line Herd used when he delivered the news. You can check out his comments below:

On the Pay Cut:

“Oh yeah. When he cut my money [by] 150 grand over three years, that’s a lot of money. Don’t think I wasn’t hot.”

On What Herd Told Him:

“When he saw the look on my face, when he told me he was screwing me, ‘Well you know, you can go back to Vince if you want, Arn.’ That just told me he knew nothing about the business. I had burnt that bridge.”

On How Herd Framed It:

“[He was] dead serious. Like he was doing me a favor by letting me go.”
