UPDATE 2: An active WWE Superstar, Rusev, has now commented on the release of WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson. You can read Rusev’s tweet below.

Rusev wrote, “Thank you AA for teaching me and letting me sit under the learning tree. #ArnAnderson”

UPDATE: It didn’t take long for AEW executive and talent Cody Rhodes to chime in on Arn Anderson after the news of his WWE release was reported online. Cody Rhodes wrote some comments on his Twitter account on Anderson, which you can see below.

Cody wrote, “Love AA. I stole all of his catchphrases & use them on a daily basis. He went to bat for young talent & at the same time is essentially responsible for all of the current top guys & “golden circle”. He’s not corporate, but that’s a compliment. Can’t take wrestlers outta wrestling.”

ORIGINAL: Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Arn Anderson has been released from WWE, according to multiple sources, but no reason has been provided. He left the company yesterday. He joined the company as a road agent after WCW was purchased in 2001. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 with the other Four Horsemen.

WWE will have plenty of producers to fill the spot, as they recently hired names like Shane Helms, Shawn Daivari, Sonjay Dutt, Jeff Jarrett and Chris Parks to work backstage.
