Asuka will reportedly be present in Knoxville for tonight’s episode of WWE RAW. This report comes amid recent speculation about her long-term future with WWE.
Rumors had circulated online claiming that Asuka was preparing to return to Japan for an extended period due to undisclosed personal family matters. However, Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite addressed the speculation, reporting that the earlier story had not been confirmed. He also noted that Asuka is currently in Knoxville for RAW and remains available for the show if WWE creative decides to use her.
The discussion around her WWE status intensified after WWE Backlash 2026, when questions surfaced about her future. Earlier reporting from Dave Meltzer mentioned backstage farewells and her “semi-retired” status. Fightful reported that Asuka had signed a long-term WWE deal in 2024, further adding to the confusion.
Tonight’s RAW from the Food City Center is set to continue fallout from Backlash. Advertised segments include Jacob Fatu’s Acknowledgment Ceremony to Roman Reigns, along with the Oba Femi Open Challenge. The announced lineup also features the Street Profits teaming with Joe Hendry against Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory.
Additional appearances by Brie Bella, Paige, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins have also been promoted for the show.
