Athena to Defend ROH Women’s World Championship Against Hyan at ROH Final Battle 2026

The first match for ROH Final Battle 2026 has been made official. As noted, in a backstage segment on last night’s show, ROH Women’s World Champion Athena informed Diamante and Billie Starkz that she’d defend her gold against Hyan at Final Battle as part of her initiation into the group.

The 38-year-old record-breaking champion said she wants Hyan to join her Minions in Training, adding that the latter needs to be beaten to a pulp for her to finally realize that she needs to fall in line and become one of her minions.

Athena is the longest-reigning ROH Women’s World Champion, having held the gold for 1427 days (and counting). She is 2-0 against Hyan, with her most recent victory coming in May 2026.

Final Battle 2026 will take place at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas, on December 4.
