Aubrey Edwards Wins Championship Gold at Mystery Wrestling Event & Vacates It Immediately

AEW referee Aubrey Edwards shockingly captured a championship at a recent indie event. However, she vacated it immediately.

At Mystery Wrestling on Saturday, August 29, 2026, Edwards punched Ron Funches in the nether regions and counted the pinfall to capture the ATTACK! 24/7 Championship.

However, she immediately got on the mic and said she is not a pro wrestler and proceeded to relinquish the championship.

Aubrey Edwards has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since September 2019. Over the years, she has officiated some of the company’s biggest matches, including Chris Jericho vs. Hangman Page to crown the inaugural AEW World Champion at All Out 2019, Toni Storm vs. Mariah May for the Women’s World Title at All In 2024, and more.

Edwards has thus far competed in just one match during her stint with AEW. In June 2023, she teamed up with Mike “Papa” Briscoe and Mark Briscoe to take on Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, and Karen Jarrett in a Mixed Trios Match on an episode of AEW Rampage. Overall, she has competed in just two matches in her career.
