Ava Is Grateful For Her Time in WWE, Says No One Thing Led To Her Exit

Ava weighed in on her exit from WWE recently, saying there wasn’t one thing that made her leave and she’s grateful for the experience. Ava, aka Simone Johnson, announced in January that she had chosen not to renew her contract with the company and she was leaving WWE. She had been working as the General Manager for NXT.

During her appearance on The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi and Russell Daniels, Ava touched on her exit from the company. She noted that it was a matter of a lot of different things building up and she had been considering exiting for a while.

Ava also noted that she doesn’t regret her time there, nor her decision to leave. You can see the highlights below:

“It was six [years]. There wasn’t one particular thing, unfortunately. It was a lot of things, and something that had been on my mind for a while.

On Her Time in WWE:

“And like, I am so grateful for my time in WWE. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I did, I got to live out the dream that fueled me, always wanted to. But I think it was just — it was time for something new. It was time for something different. And I really — I don’t regret leaving, and I’m really happy now.”
