Last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite shared a video showing a post-AEW All Out 2025 video, where Adam Copeland reveals that he needs to leave and take a sabbatical from TV, expressing uncertainty if he would ever return. There are new details from PWInsider Elite (via SEScoops.com) regarding why AEW wrote Copeland off of programming for the moment. Copeland leaving sparked some wrestling fans to speculate that Copeland might be going to WWE for a one-off match with John Cena for his farewell tour, but PWInisder reports that is not the case.
According to PWInsider’s report, Adam Copeland was written off AEW TV as he’s working on filming the new season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians on Disney+. He portrays the role of Ares, the God of War, in the hit show. Deadline reports that filming for Season 3 began last month.
Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuts on Disney+ on December 10. Season 3 of the series, featuring Copeland, will debut on the streamer at a later date.
