Backstage Note On Anna Jay’s AEW Contract

Anna Jay’s contract is set to expire in the spring, and a new report has a few notes on her status. It was reported in December that Jay’s AEW deal is set to expire in in “spring of 2026.” Jay has not been on TV in quite some time, with her last appearance coming just after AEW Blood & Guts which saw the first women’s Blood & Guts match.
A fan asked in the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A that Jay “hasn’t been around” since the report about her contract. Sean Ross Sapp notes that she has contacts in WWE and NXT, and is “willing to talk to them” if things get to that point. There’s been no word at this point as to what AEW’s stance on Jay’s contract is as of right now.
Jay’s most recent match was on the November 19th, 2025 episode of AEW Collision where she teamed with Tay Melo against Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne in the quarterfinals of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament. Shafir and Bayne picked up the win in that match before losing to the Timeless Love Bombs in the semifinals.
Jay has not publicly commented on the matter, nor has (as usual) AEW.
