Bayley Reacts After Former WWE Superstar Carmella Teases Interest in NXT GM Role

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella is seemingly interested in taking up an on-screen authority role in WWE. And Bayley is completely onboard with the idea.

Last week, former NXT General Manager Ava took to social media to announce her departure from WWE following the expiration of her contract. She reportedly opted against signing a new deal.

Last night, Shawn Michaels declared Robert Stone as the interim NXT GM. WWE’s X handle subsequently posted the video of the announcement. Carmella quoted the post and seemingly teased her interest in becoming a full-time NXT General Manager.

Former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley swiftly responded to her ex-colleague’s post and urged Shawn Michaels to give her what she wants. “MELLA DA MANAGER!!!!!!!! GIVE ME WHAT I WANT!!!!!!!! @WWENXT, @ShawnMichaels,” Bayley wrote.

Carmella, of course, was a part of WWE from 2013 to 2025, during which she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship once, the Women’s Tag Team Title once, and the 24/7 Championship four times. She is also a former Ms. Money in the Bank (2017). The 37-year-old departed the promotion in February 2025 after WWE opted against renewing her contract.
