Becky Lynch Wants Sean Mooney To Replace Michael Cole For Gunther Interview On WWE Raw

Becky Lynch has turned her ire to Michael Cole again, asking for him to be replaced by Sean Mooney after Cole’s interview of Gunther on WWE Raw. Lynch has been critical of the WWE announcer several times on Twitter, taking shots at Cole in her Twitter rants over things he’s said about Lynch on commentary of late and accusing him of “misinformation.” Her latest shot at Cole comes after Monday’s episode of Raw, when Cole interviewed Gunther.

During the sit-down interview segment, Cole questioned why Gunther was forcing AJ Styles to put his career on the line in their match at the Royal Rumble. Cole noted that Styles wanted 2026 to be his year and still wants to wrestle more beyond Saturday’s show. Gunther took offense at Cole’s line of questioning and suggested that Cole was one of the many “old-timers” hanging around who needed to be retired, like Styles.

Lynch posted to her Twitter account to share an unflattering screenshot of Cole from the segment and wrote:

“HAHAHA good ole COLESLAW way over his head AGAIN! He owes me NUMEROUS apologies for spreading FALSE INFORMATION, and now he’s irritated my good friend GUNTHER (fellow ring general)! Sounds like it’s time to hang it up soon MICHAEL! SEAN MOONEY is primed and ready for a comeback! LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN TKO!!!”

Gunther will battle Styles with the latter’s career on the line at the WWE Royal Rumble, which takes place from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday and airs live on the ESPN App and Netflix internationally.

No word on whether Sean Mooney is, indeed, primed and ready for a comeback.
