Becky Lynch Wishes SHIMMER A Happy 20th Anniversary

SHIMMER turns 20 years old today, and Becky Lynch gave the influential women’s promotion a shout-out congratulating it on its anniversary. The legendary women’s promotion hosted its first show on November 6th, 2005. Lynch is a former member of the roster, and she posted to Instagram to share a pic of herself from that era.
Lynch wrote:
“Happy 20th anniversary Shimmer. A very special company and a special time in my life. They gave this punk teenage gal a chance and a platform and I’ll always be grateful.”
Lynch worked in SHIMMER as Rebecca Knox. The promotion ran for 16 years and featured talent like Mercedes Martinez, Natalya, Asuka (as KIANA), Dakota Kai, Ruby Soho, Serena Deeb, Cheerleader Melissa, Athena, MsChif, Sara Del Rey and many others.
SHIMMER shut its doors in 2021. Its final tapings took place on November 1st of that year, leaving behind a legacy of helping drive the exposure of women’s wrestling in the US..
