Big Boom AJ Comments On Teaming Up With QT Marshall At AEW Full Gear Tailgate Brawl

Big Boom AJ is set to be in action tonight at AEW Full Gear’s pre-show, Tailgate Brawl.

The 49-year-old is set to team up with QT Marshall to battle Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta in a tag team match.

Ahead of the show, AJ caught up with Renee Paquette in the latest edition of AEW Close Up, where he opened up about joining forces with the same man he battled in a one-on-one contest at last year’s Full Gear.

The AEW star admitted that he has no choice but to trust QT Marshall. He cited Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta being their common enemy as a comforting factor heading into the match.

“I mean, look, we’re coming back to Full Gear, Big Justice is in my corner. The Rizzler’s coming. The Rizzler’s going to be in our corner. Now, to be standing side by side with the man that I stood face to face with last year, I’m still getting used to it. I’m still getting used to that, but I got no choice than to trust him. I got no choice than to trust him. Look, we have a common enemy. All right? So that right there helps me believe a little bit better. We have a common enemy. So we might not be best friends, but we have that common enemy, and we need each other that night.” [14:16 onward]
