UPDATE: WWE has confirmed that Big Cass suffered a knee injury on Raw. WWE.com revealed the news following initial reports that the injury was legitimate.
“It’s hard to tell what the extent of the injury is, but we’re going to send him to get an MRI tomorrow and figure that out,” said WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson.
ORIGINAL: The leg injury that Big Cass suffered in his street fight against Enzo Amore was legitimate, and the match was stopped because of it. PWInsider reports that the injury and match stoppage was not a storyline and that Cass’ being hurt is not a work.
The injury happened when Cass charged Amore, who was on the apron. Amore dodged and Cass went over the rope, landing badly on his leg on the floor. After the match ended, Cass was assisted to the locker room. He tried to walk out on his own but was unable to.
