Big Cass delivered a brilliant performance against Dragon Lee on last week’s edition of WWE RAW. However, that wasn’t enough for him to pick up a victory, as Lee countered a Chokeslam attempt into a quick rollup for a victory.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (WOR) [vi WrestlingInc.com], Dave Meltzer commented on the wrestler’s loss to Dragon Lee last Monday. Meltzer believes WWE would have never let Lee beat Cass if the company was serious about pushing him as a singles competitor.

According to Meltzer, Cass needs Enzo Amore to stay relevant in WWE. He said, “It was by far the best thing that Cass has done since he got there, as far as the match goes. Unfortunately, the end result also tells you that they would never let Cass, if they had plans for him, lose to Dragon Lee.”

He continued, “That is not in their MO at all. But he did. I think Cass may need Enzo [Amore], because they’ve given up on him as a single, which is a lot quicker than I thought they would.”

Prior to Cass’ return to WWE, there were reports that he may return with Enzo Amore. However, that obviously didn’t materialize, as the former AEW talent showed up alone in early August.
