On the latest episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Scott Hall’s transformation from his earlier personas into the iconic Razor Ramon character in WWE. Hall worked as Razor in WWE from 1992 through 1996 before going to WCW to form the nWo. You can check out some highlights below:

On the Difference Between Hall and the Razor Character:

“Well, I’m gonna tell you Scott Hall and Razor Ramon, those two [were] totally different guys. Because Scott Hall was truly ‘Big’ Scott Hall. That son of a gun was huge, man. He was so freaking huge when he was ‘Big’ Scott Hall, he had that Magnum PI thing going as well. But it wasn’t a gimmick that was ever going to get over.”

On the Changes Hall Underwent For the Role:

“And then he became Razor Ramon, he slammed down. You know, he was cut, his body looked great. Then he added the accent, did the hair change. Everything changed when he went to Razor Ramon.”

On Razor Ramon Being One of WWE’s Best Creations:

“And I tell you, man, I think that was one of the greatest gimmicks WWE ever created. I really do. I think that was one of the greatest characters that WWE ever created.”
