Brie Bella Comments on Receiving Massive Pop at WWE Royal Rumble & Apprehensions Against Doing Yes Kicks

Brie Bella returned to a massive pop from fans in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the Women’s Royal Rumble last weekend. The 42-year-old performed the Yes Kicks during the match and teamed up with her twin, Nikki, to eliminate Lyra Valkyria and Bayley.

Brie’s appearance was not a one-night affair, as she and Nikki turned up on RAW in Philadelphia this Monday night and declared their intention to go after the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The Bella Twins recently appeared on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, where Brie admitted that she didn’t expect such a loud reaction from the fans in Riyadh to her return.

She also admitted to having ring rust and hadn’t initially planned to do the Yes Kicks, and it was something that happened purely because of the crowd reaction. You can check out the highlights below:

“I was so stressed out, I had myself convinced they didn’t know who I was. Actually, when I did get the call to be in the Rumble, I was like, ‘Does Saudi know who I am? Is that a good idea?’ Ask Nikki; up until my music hit, I was just like, ‘Let them at least give me a little something. I just hope they know me.’ I wasn’t sure. So I was so sure when it went off, I felt the energy so much I couldn’t even control myself. I was like, so excited. So good.”

Brie Bella on Having Ring Rust and Her Initial Apprehension Performing the Yes Kicks

“For sure, and I wasn’t gonna do the Yes Kicks. I didn’t even bring my kick pads. I was like, in my head, I was sticking to my Brie Mode stuff and different things. I only had a very short amount of time to actually train. So I really only get three sessions in. So I was nervous about that for sure. It was like two hours before the show. There was one producer who kept being like, ‘I just feel you should do the Yes Kicks.’ And I said to him, ‘Listen, if they chant ‘Yes,’ I’ll do it, but it makes me nervous because I haven’t done it for five years.'”
