Brooke Hogan posted on Instagram story today stating that WWE did not extend an invite to her to any of the Hulk Hogan tributes that have taken place on last Friday’s Smackdown, Monday’s RAW, and Tuesday’s NXT. Hogan passed away on Thursday. Brooke wrote:
“For those of you giving me crap about not attending my Dad’s tributes, WWE did not extend an invite.”
Nick Hogan, Hulk Hogan’s son and Brooke’s brother, has attended, as have many of his friends such as Jimmy Hart, Eric Bischoff, and Jim Duggan.
In a statement posted yesterday, Brooke noted that she had stepped away from Hulk for two years to protect herself: “During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart. My husband stayed open, quietly reaching out to my dad without me knowing, trying to find a safe way back in for me. After my father passed, I read those messages, some answered, some ignored… but all of them broke my heart.” She added, “In the end, he continued to be a financial success for many. This was the last thing I wanted for him — he’s been working and tearing his body apart his entire life.”
