Bully Ray Comments On ESPN 30 For 30: The American Gladiators Documentary
ESPN premiered a two-part 30 For 30 documentary on American Gladiators this week, and Bully Ray took to social media to comment on it. The special aired on the sports network earlier this week and as PWInsider reports, the special had several connections to professional wrestling including featuring one of Malibu’s (Deon McBee) pro wrestling matches and his having been in talks to join WWE along with his late wife Drzan McBee.
The special also talked about Dann Carr, credited as the co-creator of the show, and managed to track him down for an interview. The special featured photos of Carr’s live including pics of him with Bully Ray and D-Von.
Ray posted to Twitter about the documentary, writing:
This is my great friend “Apache” Dann Carr … A mans, MAN…a WARRIOR and the ORIGINAL creator of #AmericanGladiators.
AMAZING story telling by the @30for30 team @espn
THANK YOU for giving Dann a chance to speak the truth…it means the world to him and his family and friends.
