During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray and host Dave LaGreca spoke about Paul Heyman not acknowledging or talking about ECW much anymore. LaGreca expressed that the reason Heyman does this is that he’s always thinking of the present and the future, rather than reliving the past.

Bully Ray agreed, explaining how that’s part of Heyman’s genius, and how he doesn’t bring up ECW unprompted. He stated (via WrestlingInc.com), “On social media, you’ll never really see Paul Heyman talk about ECW or acknowledge ECW unless Bubba does it first. We did it. We know what we did. It’s over. It’s dead. It’s buried. People want to chant the letters ECW forever? God bless them. We love you for it. All of those great memories that live from the past.”

The WWE Hall of Famer continued, “What have you done for me lately? What are you doing right now? Because memories of the past don’t put ***** in seats today. Paul Heyman isn’t employed by the WWE… because of his past. It’s what he’s doing now for the company now in front of the camera and behind the camera.”

Paul Heyman currently serves as the on-air manager of The Vision as part of the Monday Night Raw roster. The Vision’s Bron Breakker is currently scheduled to challenge Oba Femi in a singles match at WWE Sunday Night’s Man Event on Sunday, September 6.
