Bully Ray Likes The New, ‘More Focused’ Drew McIntyre

Bully Ray is a fan of the new version of Drew McIntyre we’ve been seeing in recent weeks. McIntyre has taken on a new direction with his character since turning heel, and Bully talked about why it works for him on the latest episode of Busted Open Radio.

“That Drew McIntyre might not be good for everybody else, but it’s really working for me,” Bully said (per Wrestling Inc). “I like it when the package matches … the total package of Drew McIntyre — the bass in the voice, the extremely rugged man … not the whiny Drew McIntyre, that I believe, we’d gotten in the past.”

He continued, “This Drew seems to be a lot more in control, clear and concise, knows what he wants to do and knows what he wants to say. Since he’s put Punk on the shelf, he’s a more focused Drew McIntyre.”

McIntyre has been taking shots at CM Punk over the last few weeks in particular and interrupted Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins’ segment on Monday’s Raw, then attacked Rollins before later taking out Rhodes after the main event.
