Bully Ray Pitches a Major Storytelling Opportunity for This Weekend’s WWE Money in the Bank

During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray spoke about a potential scenario for this weekend’s WWE Money in the Bank. The WWE Hall of Famer pitched the idea of The Judgement Day’s Roxanne Perez winning the women’s Money in the Bank match, while Liv Morgan regains the Women’s World Title later in the night.
Bully Ray suggested that Perez should immediately cash in her briefcase on Morgan just after she regains the title, having Perez turn on her mentor to win the belt. Below are some highlights (via WrestlingInc.com):

“Could you imagine if Liv Morgan wins, Becky’s selling on the floor, the medical is attending to…Vaquer, and Liv is all by herself sitting in the corner, clutching that championship, but she’s out of breath, because she just won a big three-way dance. And Roxanne’s music hits, and here she comes with the briefcase. Roxanne slides in, Roxanne has the briefcase, she’s looking right down at Liv who’s holding the championship, right?”
On How It Presents a Great Storytelling Opportunity
“You get that moment; you get those eyes locking. Liv is scared; she doesn’t know what’s going on. Roxanne knows she’s got that ace up her sleeve in the Money in the Bank. The referee is right there. ‘Do you want me to ring the bell right now? Do you want me to ring the bell?’ And then Roxanne helps up Liv. You have this moment of tension, maybe the embrace or maybe Roxanne walks away. You can really set the tone and the table for great storytelling moving forward right there.”
At WWE Money in the Bank 2026, Liv Morgan looks to regain the Women’s World Title in a Triple Threat Match, with reigning champion Stephanie Vaquer defending against Becky Lynch and Morgan. Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez looks to win the women’s Money in the Bank Briefcase, competing against Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Lash Legend, and Tiffany Stratton.
WWE Money in the Bank 2026 takes place on Saturday, October 10. The WWE premium live event is being held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. It will air live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
