Chad Gable Offers Rey Mysterio Future Intercontinental Title Shot On WWE Raw

Chad Gable is giving Rey Mysterio the first shot at his WWE Intercontinental Title, setting up the match on this week’s WWE Raw. Monday night’s episode of Raw featured a backstage segment in which Gable was talking with Mysterio and ultimately offered to put the title on the line against him.

Gable was praising Mysterio’s work as the General Manager of AAA, particularly in how he set up the luchador tournament for a shot at the World Heavyweight championship. He said that it would be an honor to put the title on the line against Mysterio, who he called “the greatest luchador of all time.”

Mysterio said that he still has plenty left in the tank and accepted the offer. Gable said that he would talk to Raw GM Adam Pearce. You can see the clip o the segment below.

There’s no word on exactly when the title shot will take place. Chad Gable has yet to defend the title since he won it at WWE SummerSlam at the start of the month.
