Chad Gable Wins Gauntlet Match For Intercontinental Title Shot On WWE Raw

Chad Gable is heading to WWE SummerSlam, winning a shot at the Intercontinental Title during a gauntlet match on this week’s WWE Raw. Monday night’s episode saw Gable win a match that also featured Dominik Mysterio, Joe Hendry, Ethan Page, Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, and Rusev in order to secure a shot at Penta’s title.

The match started with Mysterio and Hendry, with JD McDonagh helping Mysterio get the pinfall. Danhausen came out for the second leg, which resulted in a distraction that allowed Evans to pin Mysterio. Evans then defeated Dragon Lee, but fell to Rusev’s Accolade.

That led to Gable coming out, and he was able to defeat Rusev with a victory roll. Gable then made Page tap to an ankle lock to secure the win.

You can see clips from the match below. Gable will challenge Penta at SummerSlam, which takes place on August 1st and 2nd from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We’ll have an updated card for the PLE after Raw.
