Chelsea Green Reflects On Women’s US Title Loss, Names Hopes For 2026

Chelsea Green says it was rough to lose the WWE Women’s United States Championship to Giulia, but she acknowledges that the new champion “beat [her] ass.” Giulia defeated Green on last week’s episode of WWE Smackdown to reclaim the title. It was a bit of revenge for Giulia, who lost the title to Green in November.

Green appeared on TMZ Inside the Ring and spoke about her title loss and more. She pointed out that she is not yet without a title, as she’s still AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions with Ethan Page. Green also noted that she expects to be even busier in 2026. You can see the highlights below:

On Her Women’s US Title Loss to Giulia:

“So full disclosure, I’m lucky to have hair left after that match. I was limping on both legs. She definitely — It was definitely like a Japanese strong style match. And I’ve been to Japan. That was the hardest Japanese strong style match I’ve ever had. Even after living in Japan and wrestling Kairi [Sane] and IYO and Mayu [Iwatani} and all of the STARDOM girls.

“It was really, really rough. But at the end of the day, isn’t that what we want out of a champion? That is what we want. Although I — look, I think I’m the greatest first,
fourth, and final champion. However, I have to give it to Giulia, because she beat my ass.”

On If Losing the Title Motivates Her To Keep Going:

So I think for most people, yes. For me, it means a day off. [laughs] Look, I still have a championship, you guys. I’m still a mixed Triple Ah-Ah-Ah Tag Team Champion with Ethan. So we still are in the champion realm.”

On Her Hopes For 2026:

“I would love to take the title off of Jade. I would love to travel the world a little more. I would love to maybe get a couple of days off in my new home. We’ve been busy. I mean, 2025 was probably the busiest year of my life. With work, with my home life and building the house, like everything. It was just crazy.

“So I feel like in 2026, either — I don’t know how. There maybe needs to be more hours in the day to be busier. But either I’m busier and we go for the World Title or something like that. Or we just take a step back and enjoy this year, and continue to kind of do what I was doing but without titles. I still am having fun being on Smackdown and entertaining, and being part of Unreal, and doing media and appearances and traveling the world.”
