Chris Jericho Makes Return On AEW Dynamite, Says He’s ‘Home’

Chris Jericho is back on AEW TV, making his return on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Wednesday night’s show saw the former AEW World Champion end months of speculation as to his future, making his return to TV in the opening segment of the show.

Tony Schiavone was in the ring and about to speak before fireworks hit and Jericho came out to his “Judas” entrance song. Jericho walked down to the ring and stepped inside, waiting until the music finished playing and taking in “Welcome back!” chants from the crowd.

Kericho eventually got the mic and yelled, “Winnipeg! AEW! I’m home!” before setting the microphone down and exiting. You can see clips below.

Jericho’s wrestling future has been the subject of massive speculation over last seven months. It was reported back in August that his contract was expected to up in December, and that WWE had interest on him. Jericho remained coy about his future and it had been reported that AEW froze his contract during his time away. A report noted earlier today that sources in AEW believed he would be returning to the company.

There’s no confirmed word as of yet on whether Jericho has signed a new deal, or is working through the frozen time on his previous contract.
