The Motor City Machine Guns are really looking forward to mixing it up with the Young Bucks and New Level in AEW. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly are back in the mix after their debut in July, and defeated FTR in the first match of their best-of-five series at AEW WrestleDream.

Sabin spoke with MuscleMan Malcolm ahead of the show spoke about their history with the Young Bucks, as well as their desire to face both teams in AEW. You can see the highlights below:

On the Moment At All In:

“Yeah, so we first met the Young Bucks at PWG. When they actually — we had a match booked against them. And as we wrestled them, and the following week — because we were still with contracted to TNA at the time. The following week, we went right up to Terry Taylor who was running Talent Relations at the time [and] were like, ‘You got to see these guys. You have to hire these guys.’

“So eventually, they took our word. Brought them in for a tryout. They saw them; they hired them. We wrestled them over and over and over and over again, and it was awesome. We just had the best chemistry, and we just want to reignite that feud again. We want to make sure we still have that chemistry. We think we will, and that’s who we want to wrestle the most in the AEW, is The Young Bucks.”

On Potentially Winning the AEW World Tag Team Titles:

” So we had one match [in WWE]. But it was a six-man tag, and it was a dark match for the Royal Rumble. So no one got to see it… I think out of all the teams in WWE, they were the ones up there who we wanted to wrestle most. Those guys are awesome. They’re super entertaining.

“We’ve known Creed obviously since the TNA days. We have a bunch of history with him. Yeah, yeah. I mean, they’re up there with The Young Bucks as far as who we want to wrestle at AEW. We would love to win the titles and then feud with them for six months. That would be great.”
