Ciocco’s TNA Impact Review 11.5.26

Impact Zone! It’s Thursday, which means that we are in for a brand new edition of the delight known as Impact. Coming from the taped sessions in Dothan (but not DOLPHIN), Impact will feature a World Tag Team Title Match, as Nic and Ryan Nemeth will defend the titles against TNA World Heavyweight Champion Leon Slater and X-Division Champion Amazing Red. The System might be heading towards an implosion, as Eddie Edwards will face Bear Bronson, and if Eddie wins, then Bronson will fall in line and take orders, but if Bronson wins, he gets to call the shots in the group.

Elsewhere on the card, Fire ‘N Flava will face Allie and her new best friend Shotzi Blackheart, Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles will compete in their first tag team match against a team to be named, and Harley Hudson will have her initiation into the Righteous as one of the Many! All of this and, of course, so much more in store for us tonight!

So, how is everyone doing on this Thursday Night? I have just one film left in the Batman Animated series marathon, which is, of course, Knightfall part 1. Although, with the second one coming out in early December, maybe I’ll hold off and watch them together instead. Also, the Pacers winning on the road against Memphis was a surprise, although it did help to get Zubac and Toppin back.

But enough about me and enough about you, let’s get ready to brace for Impact!

TNA

We are LIVE (TO TAPE!) from the state that says ROLL TIDE, as Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt will be on the call.

Recap of the action from last week’s episode of Impact, where syX killed off Jeff Hardy and he TOTALLY won’t be back after the company’s tour of Canada!

I’M READY FOR YOU aka the title sequence!

Everyone’s favorite Canadian Mammal is out to open the show! Moose said he had an interesting conversation with Matt Hardy earlier and it got him thinking. He said Moose you haven’t been the same lately. And even though I hated that guy, you need to go back to the guy that you were. And Moose understands what is next for him. You guys have followed his career, and in the last decade, you have seen me bring this company up to what it is. If you know me and you are lucky enough to put me down, you better pray to God that I stay down because Moose is a patty son of a bitch. I think he meant petty but whatever. Moose is laser focused on syX, because he was the first man that you laid out. Now you are walking around here saying TNA is a disease, so you’re saying that I am a cancer then. So, Joseph Sawyer and Samuel “Shore,” get your bitch asses out here right now!

Say their name and they appear, we believe in syX Hendry! Sawyer and Shaw talk it over before they run down the ramp and they ambush Moose. Matt Hardy, now free of the room he was locked in seven days ago, hits the ring with a pipe, and syX exit the ring.

Leon Slater and Amazing Red are in the back. Red says he has never felt better. He wants to thank the company and the fans, and what a better way to bring some Total Nonstop Action than to be X-Division Champion. He couldn’t think of anyone else to team up with him than Leon. Slater says it is an honor and a privilege to team with someone who he modeled his game after. He has a title defense at Destination-X, but tonight they are going to take out Nic and Ryan Nemeth. Leon wants Ryan to keep up with him.

Here comes Trey Miguel, as he greets Red and tersely greets Slater. Trey says Leon told him he would see him at Destination-X, but he didn’t say anything about leaving as Champion. Slater says he will bring the Total Non-Stop Rasta to Trey; YA GET ME? Miguel says if he has anything else he wants to say to him, he will be out there to watch their Champions Challenge match. Trey shakes with Red and we get another terse shake with Slater.

Tom runs down the card for tonight and mentions that Frankie and Avery will team up for the first time, next!

BREAK IN PROGRESS!

Promo for Destination-X, coming to us from Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA on November 15th.

Promo for Rebel and her battle against ALS.

We see Daria Rae walking in the back with her boy behind her. She wants to know why he is following her, but he says that literally is his job. Indi Hartwell is here. She taunts Rae and asks who her boy is. He goes to introduce himself, but Daria says the line to him. Indi calls Daria miserable and intolerant, and she wishes she was facing Daria for her title. The stooge holds Daria back as Indi takes off.

It’s time for the new best friends! Mustafa Ali is on commentary for this one.

Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles vs. Hunter James and Alexander Lev

Styles and James to start. Hunter with punches but he runs into a dropkick. Kazarian in, and he hits a big hip toss into a dropkick. Styles back in, but James gets away and tags in Lev. Styles knocks both men off the apron, but he gets ganged up on by the jobbers for a while. Honestly, I’m finding Ali’s commentary more engrossing than this match. James with a kitchen sink and a pin for a two on Styles. Headlock from James, Styles to his feet, but Avery gets bull rushed to the corner. Avery avoids both men and tags in Kazarian. Frankie takes care of both jobbers and hits Lev with a springboard leg drop for a two. Styles tags in, and they go for some Total Elimination! Styles pulls Lev closer to the corner and hits the Spiral Tap for the win!
WINNERS: Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles
TIME: 4:55
THOUGHTS: Awfully giving of Avery and Frankie in this match, but I get the whole, “Avery is a rookie and he is still learning so the big bad jobbers can take advantage of him.” I’m more interested in the future of their team and how Ali plays into this.
RATING: Phenmonal Kings!

Ali has the mic post-match. He tells Frankie to not raise Avery’s hand because he knows that Frankie isn’t stupid, unlike everyone else here. Ali gets on the apron, but Frankie punches him in the face and raises Avery’s hand! Good guy Kazarian?

The System are in the back. Alisha is angry about Cedric and Brian being on their phones. At least she isn’t screaming at us, so that’s an improvement. Cedric says they hate this as much as she does, but sometimes, guys just have to fight it out and work it out. Myers says there will be blood, sweat, and tears, but at the end of this they will be stronger than ever.

Speaking of Eddie and Bronson, they are up next!

BREAK IN PROGRESS!

Another promo for Destination-X is here post-break.

The System (hopefully) implodes!

Eddie Edwards vs. Bear Bronson

If Eddie wins, Bear has to fall in line and take orders from Eddie. If Bear wins, then he will call the shots in the group.

The bell rings as both men scream at one another. They back up, and Bronson says he is going to fix this, and he is going to take the power. Side headlock from Eddie, but Bronson sends him off and hits a shoulder tackle. Corner chops from Bronson, Eddie follows Bear across the ring and hits a lariat. Bronson scoops up Eddie and hits a T-Bone Suplex. Bronson screams at Eddie and says HE MADE A MISTAKE! Eddie avoids a charging Bronson and hits an enziguri followed by a Rana from the top. Eddie looking Sunset Flip, but Bronson drops all of that bear ass right on Eddie for a two. It’s time for the “break.”

Eddie attempts a comeback during the break to split LET’S GO EDDIE/EDDIE SUCKS chants. Edwards with a suplex to the big man! Eddie to the top, but Bronson just casually sends Edwards to the floor. Eddie with chops, but Bronson throws him into the ring steps. Bronson is looking a little psychotic and rolls Eddie back into the ring. Bronson with the back splash for a two. Bronson with the Davey Boy Smith approved chinlock, Eddie to his feet as he tries to fight free. Eddie picks up Bronson onto his back and hits a flapjack! Someone just screamed HOOK THE LEG. Sage advice, honestly.

Eddie charges Bronson, but the Bear sends him to the floor. Bronson takes off and hits a flying shoulder tackle! He returns Eddie to the ring, and he screams into the camera. While he is doing that, Eddie gets up and takes out Bronson with a Tope Suicida! EDDIE chants, as Edwards charges Bronson with the Boston Knee Party, but Bronson has other ideas and hits a Blackhole Slam on the ramp! The ref goes out to check on both men before starting the count. As cliche as it always is, both men make it back in at the count of nine.

Bronson and Edwards talk shit to each other as they get back to their feet. Bronson drops his straps and the strikes are incoming. Bronson drops Eddie to a knee, he talks mad shit, and Eddie hits a thrust kick. Bronson fires back with the Chokebomb, but Eddie kicks out at one! Bronson looks like he shit himself lol. Bronson puts Eddie on the top rope and lays in some shots. Eddie sneaks underneath and hits a Sunset Bomb, but Bronson absorbs it and cuts off a Boston Knee Party. Edwards scores with a lariat and not one but two Boston Knee Parties, and Eddie is still the Boss!
WINNER: Eddie Edwards
TIME: 13:25
THOUGHTS: Not too bad of a match. Kind of surprised that they put it here when the match ran the length of a typical main event match. Eddie winning was a surprise, but there is probably going to be some kind of a story where Bronson turns on the System and starts his own group.
RATING: ***1/2

Post-match, Cedric and Brian are here. They observe the situation, and Eddie offers a handshake. Bronson accepts it and everyone poses. Yay, the System will live on, says no one ever.

The TNA Injury Report is brought to us by Stranglehold!

  • Jeff Hardy is out of action until TNA stops touring Canada.
  • Avery Styles injured his ankle earlier tonight and he is in evalaution now.
  • BDE is out with injuries to his shoulder and neck after getting his ass kicked last week by Zero.
  • Promo for the Hardy Party in El Paso, Texas on December 14th. But wait, if Jeff was killed by syX, then how can he come back without the aid of the Lake of Reincarnation?

Knockouts Tag team action is up, next!

    BREAK IN PROGRESS!

Destination-X is back for the first time in nine years next Sunday in Edmonton, as Tom tells us what is official for the show.

Daria’s goof is in the back on his phone. Daria Rae wants to know what he is doing. Brian says he is doing an incident report, but she says nothing happened. He shouldn’t flood the company’s email with spam, and he agrees. Santino Marella is here, and Brian introduces himself to Marella. Santino says you must be the guy who is here to babysit “Diarrhea.” Brian says he can do his job, and Santino says he believes him, but watch Daria, this one is a mouthful. Santino leaves, and Daria says that was rude. The way she sees it, Santino was disrespecting him. She leaves, and Brian is like WTF.

Fire N Flava vs. Allie and Shotzi Blackheart

I’m disappointed that Shotzi doesn’t have her tank. Did MLW keep it or was it GCW that kept it?

Shotzi and Tasha to start. The fans chant for Shotzi, and Kiera says SHUT UP lol. Strike battle turns into a crucifix from Shotzi for a two. Steelz with an arm drag, but Blackheart with a step-up enziguri. Shotzi with a forearm in the corner, but her top rope move is sussed out. Kiera gets the tag, and Allie screams to let her in! Allie screams at Kiera that SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HER FRIEND! Hogan wants her to hug her, but Allie doesn’t fall for this and hits the Thesz Press. She dances around the ring and hits a corner knee to Hogan. Steelz grabs ahold of Allie’s foot behind the ref’s back, allowing Hogan to hit a running teabag.

Steelz in, and she pounds away on Allie. Quick tag back to Hogan, who lays in a beating and screams at Allie. SPEAR from Allie, and Shotzi is in now. She takes care of both Tasha and Kiera, stacks them up, and hits a CANNONBALL to both ladies. Blackheart is feeling it and she crowns both of them on the floor with a Lope! Back in the ring, and Blackheart pins Steelz, but Hogan pulls her out of the ring. She attacks Allie, back in the ring, and they set up a Curb Stomp-Senton spot, but Allie kicks out at two. Blackheart is back, and both ladies set up stereo tarantulas. Allie screams on the apron, Shotzi with a missile dropkick to Hogan. Steelz with the save, so Allie hits Tasha with a Codebreaker. Shotzi sets up Hogan in the corner and hits the Back Splash Senton for the win!
    WINNERS: Allie and Shotzi Blackheart
    TIME: 7:10
THOUGHTS: Maybe it was just me, but Kiera and Allie didn’t scream “natural team” to me. With Allie and Shotzi, it certainly feels like a natural team and, despite winning this match, the war is far from over.
    RATING: ***1/4

Post-match, Fire N Flava are sore losers, and they attack Shotzi and Allie.

John Skyler and Mila Moore are in the back. John says that Santino didn’t grant his request, but Mila cuts him off. She is breaking up with him. Skyler is a loser, and she thought that he would do better, but he still cannot get the job done. She leaves, and John sits down and he says, “But I love you” to the mirror.

Harley Hudson will become one of the many, next!

    BREAK IN PROGRESS!

TNA Impact is coming to Calgary…

    Alberta…

    CANADA!

On Wednesday the 18th and 19th!

John Skyler is still broken up about being dumped by the model who is clearly out of his league. For reasons or another, KC Navarro enters to get his charger and leaves. That was something.

The Rock-Hard moment of the night is Eddie defeating Bronson with the Boston Knee Party.

Maggie and Heather are in the back. Maggie has been under duress defending her title and Mr. Elegance leaving the group. She wants to make it up to Heather, and she says she will make sure Heather is on the cover of the magazine next to her. Heather accepts this and Maggie leaves. Elayna Black steps in and she continues to try and turn Heather against Maggie. Heather says she sees what she is doing, and she wants to face Elayna next week. Black says she isn’t facing anyone until she gets a TV Title shot, but she says she will beat some sense into Heather’s head next week.

    Wait, what?

The Right-E-ous and Harley Hudson are here! Vincent says it is funny how life goes sometimes, and now, Harley is going to become one of the many and she will become Righteous! He asks if she is ready to accept this, if she is ready to become something better, and Harley says yes to everything. Vincent says then it shall be done, as the music hits and Dutch prepares to put the crown on her head.

But before he can put it on officially, Vincent wants Harley to show her commitment to the Righteous by repeating what he tells her to. He gets to a part about taking time to make up your mind and someone else already did. It sinks into Harley, and Xia Brookside appears behind her and lays Hudson out! Vincent said he has to sacrifice the mouse to the coils of the snake and welcomes Xia to the Righteous. Dutch puts the crown on her and they leave.

The main event is coming up, next!

    BREAK IN PROGRESS!

Elayna Black documentary is on Immersed!

Tom runs down the shows remaining on the 2026 calendar.

Matt Hardy is in the back. syX, you have crossed a line that you cannot come back from. You didn’t just try to beat my brother; you tried to kill him. Matt does not forgive and he will not forget what they tried to do. Moose is here, and he says syX walk around like they own the place, and that pisses Moose off. There was a time when he was the most dangerous man in TNA, and he is going to show syX he can still be that man. Matt says he went to Santino and he got a match for them at Destination-X, it will be Moose and Broken Matt against syX!

It’s time for the MAIN EVENT! And of course, it’s also time for the…

    OBLIGITORY PRE-MAIN EVENT BREAK!

TNA World Tag Team Titles Match: Nic and Ryan Nemeth (C) vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Leon Slater and TNA X-Division Champion Amazing Red

Only the tag team titles are on the line here. Trey Miguel is also on commentary for this match.

Nic and Red to start this one. Both Nic and Ryan have Stranglehold shirts on to promote Ryan’s minor role in said film. Nic wrestles Red to the ground and pins him for a two. Red is up and he works the arm of Nemeth. Tag to Slater, who comes from the top with a double axe to the left arm of Nic. Slater pulls Nic to the mat by his arm. Nic looks to buy himself some separation and gouges the eyes of Red and he tags in Ryan. Ryan with some stomps and he tags right back out. Slater reverses Nic in the corner and he lands the mounted punches. Red is in and he delivers the mounted punches to Nic. Red into the pin for a two.

Nic takes Red to his corner and tags in Ryan. Red with a dropkick to Ryan, Slater is in and they both clothesline the Champions to the floor. Red and Slater look to fly, but the Nemeth Brothers get out of dodge as we go to the “break.” The Nemeth Brothers look to charge the ring, but they stay on the outside, forcing Red and Slater to hit the floor. They beat up on the Champions, and Matt shouts out D’Lo Brown, which is always appreciated. The Nemeth Brothers take over as Ryan goes to the eyes of Red and tags in Nic. Nic with a stomp to the side of Red’s head and he rakes his face across the top rope. Red with a rolling kick, but Nic tags in Ryan. The LITTLE BROTHER with some punches and he goes for a side headlock.

Red slides away and tags in Slater, who hits both Nic and Ryan. Slater plants Ryan and heads to the top, but Nic rushes over and causes Leon to fall on his balls. Nic takes off the shirt and now it is serious business as he grabs at the face of Slater. Ryan gets the tag and hits a corner SPEAR to Slater. Ryan with the jumping fist drop aka the Five-Knuckle Shuffle for a two. Ryan takes time to post and gyrate, and he turns into a spinning heel kick.

Nic and Red are in now, as Red has to fight off both brothers. Red fights back and plants Nic with a DDT for a two. Code Red, no, blind tag by Slater who kicks Nic in the face. Leon heads to the top and hits the crossbody for a two. Tag to Red, double suplex attempt, but Ryan is here to save his BIG BROTHER. Slater gets posted by the brothers and combination offense to Red, but the X-Champ kicks out at two. Nic looking Danger Zone, but Red holds onto the ropes. Nic does score with a SUPERKICK, but Slater sends both brothers to the floor. Nic has one of the tag team titles, but Slater comes off the apron with a SUPERMAN PUNCH!

Nic is returned to the ring and Red hits a top-rope elbow drop. The cover, but Ryan shoves Slater into the pile and the ref is caught in the crossfire. Ryan uses that title that was on the floor to hit Slater in the head with. Nic looking SUPERKICK, but Red rolls him up, but the ref is still down. Spinning kick to the head by Red who looks for the Code Red. Ryan hits him in the head with the title belt, and Nic hits the Danger Zone. The ref is magically alive again and the Champs retain!
WINNERS: The Nemeth Brothers (And still!)
    TIME: 17:45
THOUGHTS: I don’t think anyone expected Slater and Red to win the titles and add more to their repertoire. As such, this match felt a little bit like a red herring. Still, it was fun to see Slater and Red team-up, even if Ryan and Nic did their best to make their offense feel osmatic.
    RATING: ***1/2

The Nemeth Brothers celebrate post-match. Elijah is here, and he looks to brain one of the brothers with his guitar. Ryan and Nic escape up the ramp.

Post-credits, we see Harley Hudson in the back on her phone. She is talking to her mum, and she complains about not being able to make friends in TNA and she wants to give it a few more weeks before she returns home. She hangs up and sees a piece of paper on the side of the production truck held in place by a knife. She pulls the paper down and it says to “Come and play with me!” Harley walks around the side of the truck and sees a dollhouse! Taryn Terrell is back, and she welcomes Harley to her dollhouse! Harley smiles at her and takes a doll, and with that, we are done!

    7.2
    The final score: review Good
    The 411
Tonight's show was a good bit better than last week's show, which was the case with the two previous episodes of Impact, so this improvement was welcome. The main event was good when Red and Slater drove the offense, but overall, nothing was offensive on tonight's show. I also feel the need to give this a better rating since Taryn Terrell is back, and I am curious as to how this plays out with Harley.
