Claudio Castagnoli Officially Signs Contract With CMLL, Will Be Under Dual Contract With CMLL & AEW

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) announced today that reigning CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli is now officially under contract with the organization. Per today’s announcement, Castagnoli now officially joins the roster “under a dual-contract agreement with AEW.”
As previously reported, multiple CMLL stars have recently signed dual contracts to work in both AEW and CMLL, including Persephone, Mascara Dorada, and Mistico. However, Castagnoli now shows an AEW star signing a dual contract to also work in CMLL.
The new video also shows Claudio Castagnoli signing his new CMLL contract to make it official. Castagnoli has held the CMLL World Title since November, when he won it from Gran Guerrero. As noted, he will be defending it again on Friday, March 20 against Hechicero.
