Cody Rhodes finally delivered on his promise at WWE Crown Jewel 2026. The former WWE Undisputed Champion faced his bitter rival, Randy Orton, in the rubber match of their feud in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

It was a brutal back-and-forth battle. They went through tables. They jumped off ladders. Orton hit Rhodes with an RKO out of nowhere and tried to use the low blow again, similar to their match at Sunday Night’s Main Event. However, neither man could stay down for the ten count.

Ultimately, Rhodes finally delivered on his claim that he would kick Orton’s head in, and he gave the Viper a taste of his own medicine. Rhodes hit Orton with the running punt kick, a move that Orton typically uses as part of his repertoire.

That was enough to keep Orton down for the ten-count. Now, Cody Rhodes wins in his trilogy against his former friend, mentor, and stablemate. But at what cost did this victory come? Is this the start of Rhodes showing a darker, more brutal edge? Time will tell.
