Cody Rhodes Comments On Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame Induction

Cody Rhodes has joined the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame, and he took to social media to comment on the matter. The Wrestling Observer revealed the 2025 class of its Hall of Fame on Friday. The class includes Spyros Arion, Gran Hamada, Dorrell Dixon, CM Punk, Rhodes, Sabu, Bobby Bruns, and promoter Raoul Paoli.
Rhodes took to Twitter to comment on his induction. In response to a tweet by WrestlePurists mentioning Dave Meltzer’s write-up of Rhodes, the WWE Universal Champion wrote:
“We are just getting started”
Rhodes included a heart emoji and and a GIF of either an extra point or field goal from a Cincinnati Bearcats game.
The Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame is voted on by reporters, historians, and former and current professions in the wrestling industry, broken down into several categories. To get in, a candidate needs 60% of the votes from the region they are listed in. Rhodes received the support of 64.4% of voters in the “Modern U.S. and Canada” category. Punk received 65.5% support in the same region.
Rhodes and Punk will be teaming up with Jey Uso for WarGames at Survivor Series later this month. They will be facing Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. Both teams will add competitors in the coming weeks.
