WWE commentator Corey Graves is expanding his horizons, as he has taken up the position of a professor at Point Park University in Pennsylvania.

TribLIVE recently posted on their website about Graves teaching a ‘Live Sports Production’ course at the aforementioned college.

The former wrestler detailed how the opportunity came about while speaking to the outlet.

“I was invited over the last year or two to speak at Point Park College to their broadcasting students. It was wrestling-centric, but there were also quite a few students who were broadcasting-specific, not necessarily wrestling fans. It went well; they asked me to come back again, and I did. The second time went better than the first,” Graves said.

After the first two sessions went well, the university officials asked him to teach a course. Graves initially felt that the proposal was “absurd,” but eventually agreed to do it. Last summer, he and Dr. Berney Ankney, who is the chairman of the school of communications department, created the curriculum for the ‘Live Sports Production’ course. According to the outlet, it’s a three-hour course on Wednesdays and 12 students have signed up so far.

Corey Graves also talked about how TKO has been open to contracted talents stepping outside the WWE bubble and taking up opportunities, a stark contrast to how the previous regime operated.

“TKO has seemingly been a lot more open to collaboration and allowing talent to step outside WWE, more so than the old WWE regime. Anybody who works for WWE has had an opportunity of some sort that they’ve had to turn down because they couldn’t get permission, or it was a conflict of interest. This really isn’t a wrestling class; it was a broadcasting class. I took it to my manager, and they’ve been supportive to help me with making this happen.”
