The suspense surrounding the mystery crate finally came to an end at tonight’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2026.
The crate made its way out to the entrance following CM Punk’s successful defense of the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor.
Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, the respective General Managers of RAW and SmackDown, opened it. The crate had a coffin, out of which several dancers emerged like vampires. Eventually, former AEW star Danhausen emerged from the coffin.
Fans had been speculating about the contents of the crate ever since it first showed up on Monday Night RAW, with some of them suggesting that the person behind it might be Danhausen.
Danhausen teased his AEW exit yesterday and was removed from the company’s official roster page earlier today. In December 2025, it was reported that WWE may be interested in him if he entered free agency. His contract with All Elite Wrestling expired earlier this month.
