Darby Allin Comments on Mick Foley Appearing in AEW, Says Foley Was His Guy Growing Up

Fox News recently spoke to AEW World Champion Darby Allin ahead of tomorrow’s AEW Double or Nothing 2026 event. During the chat, Allin commented on WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley making his AEW debut later this weekend.

Allin commented on Foley, “He was one of my guys growing up because he was one of those guys, you flip through the TV and you’re like, ‘wait.’ Growing up, I don’t feel like I could relate to a lot of wrestlers, but him, being like this, Evel Knievel, stuntman performer, every night doing something – that was definitely inspiring. And it spoke to me because it’s everything I love.” He continued, “So, to have him around Sunday, it’ll be awesome. He’s definitely somebody I’ve looked up to.”

As previously reported, Foley is set to host the Double or Nothing Buy In with Renee Paquette tomorrow. The pre-show starts at 7:00 pm ET and will stream on YouTube, HBO Max, Facebook, and X.

The AEW Double or Nothing main card starts at 8:00 pm ET. The event is being held at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view. 411 will have live coverage of the event.
