AEW star and reigning TNT Champion Darby Allin might be competing in a Blood & Guts match later this week, but he’s not going to let that keep him from competing in the New York City Marathon. Allin took part in today’s event (h/t Fightful), and he completed his run in five hours and 34 minutes.

The NYC Marathon runs 26.219 miles and goes through the five boroughs. This year’s event had over 60,000 participants. This year’s winner is Andreas Almgren, who finished the run in two hours and six minutes.

Allin commented on completing the marathon on his Instagram account. He wrote, “NYC marathon complete! 5:35:14 I wanted to challenge myself and not train at all and see what happened what a wild experience now time for blood and guts!” You can view the photo he posted on social media below.

Allin took part in the marathon after an incredibly busy week with heavy travel to two countries. On Wednesday, he defended his title against Josh Alexander on AEW Dynamite in St. Louis, Missouri. Two days later, he went to Mexico City to wrestle Hechicero at CMLL Día de Muertos. Two days later, he ran the marathon.

Next up, Darby Allin will be competing in Blood & Guts on Wednesday, November 4. Allin teams up with Steven Borden, the Young Bucks, and AEW World Champion Will Ospreay against The Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle.

AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts is being held at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. It will be broadcast live on TBS starting at 8:00 pm ET. It will also be simulcast on HBO Max.
