Darby Allin defeated Jon Moxley in a wild I Quit match in the main event of AEW WrestleDream in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday night. The brutal match saw the return of Sting, who got involved after Moxley tried to drown Darby in a tank of water, and after Claudio Castagnoli and PAC got involved in the match. Sting took out both Castagnoli and PAC and broke the water tank. He handed his iconic bat to Darby Allin before leaving.

As expected, Moxley and Allin took each other to their limits, unleashing unimaginable brutality on each other. The start of the match saw Darby place an AEW flag in the middle of the ring, only for Moxley to kick it away.

The bitter rivals brawled at ringside, with Marina Shafir, at one point, grabbing Allin’s foot, which allowed The Purveyor of Violence to take control of the proceedings.

Moxley used a steel chair to inflict punishment on the Daredevil and even drove a skewer into his fingernails. After withstanding prolonged punishment, the former AEW TNT Champion poured lighter fluid on his opponent.

Allin used the spray on other Death Riders members, allowing Moxley to take advantage via a Cutter. He then nailed a Paradigm Shift on a steel chair. After Claudio Castagnoli entered the proceedings to lay a further beatdown on Allin, Moxley hit his archenemy with another Paradigm Shift off the apron and through the commentary table. However, Allin refused to quit.

The Death Riders then brought an aquarium in the ring and shoved Darby Allin’s head in it. But the Daredevil refused to give up. At this moment, the light suddenly went out and when it returned, Sting was standing in the ring with a baseball bat in his hands.

Stinger tossed the bat to Allin, who used it as a weapon against Moxley. The Daredevil tried to choke the Death Riders leader with the AEW flag before hitting the Coffin Drop. He then applied the Scorpion Death Lock, forcing Jon Moxley to say “I Quit.”
