EC3 Explains Why His Return At TNA Rebellion Was ‘Destiny’

EC3 made his return to TNA at Rebellion, and he says that the return there was always “destined” to happen. EC3 made his return to the company at their April 12th PPV. It was his first appearance in the company since 2018.

The former TNA World Champion appeared on BCP+ and spoke about how he made his return at the place where his TNA origin began at the Woolstein Center in Cleveland. You can see the highlights below:

“Yeah I mean, I’m a big — I’m a weirdo, right? So let’s talk about coincidences. Let’s talk about timing, synchronosities, the universe. This was always meant to happen, it was always meant to happen in Cleveland.

“Unknown EC3 story, the origin of EC3 started in TNA in Cleveland the last time they were in that building many years ago. Because this idiot, this curly-haired dumbass named Derrick Bateman was fired from the WWE and he was panhandling, looking for work. While he lived in Florida, he saw that TNA was in Cleveland. He pretended that he still lived in Cleveland, said, ‘Hey, so and so is thinking, maybe a opportunity, whatever.’ They said, ‘Yeah, come on by.’ It was actually Dave Lagana who was watching that garbage NXT show at the time. But always reached out to me because he’s like, ‘You got something. There’s something there.” I’m like, ‘All right, cool. Good to know.’

On How He Returned in the Same Venue:

“But I had a dark match in the Woolstein Center the last time TNA was in Cleveland. And then that is what led to EC3 being born.

“So fast forward, here we are. Rebellion returned to the Woolstein Center. Stars aligned, triangles connected, and it was always meant to be. So to be back at Rebellion in Cleveland, you were there. It was great.”
